PALO ALTO, Calif., Mar 3, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Agilent
Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced that its 93000 SOC Series
semiconductor test system received the first-ever Test of Time award
from Test & Measurement World magazine at the Best in Test Product
Awards ceremony held last month in Anaheim, Calif. The 93000 SOC
Series conducts true parallel, multi-site, mixed-signal testing and
offers the widest application coverage and test flexibility at the
lowest overall cost of test. The award recognizes Agilent's impressive
array of instrumentation and satisfied customers while building on its
original, scalable platform architecture.
The Best in Test awards are presented annually by the editors of
Test & Measurement World to honor important and innovative new
products and services in the electronics test and measurement
industry. The Agilent 93000 SOC Series won a Best in Test award in
2000, following its release in 1999. The new Test of Time award
acknowledges a product that continues to provide state-of-the-art
performance at least five years after its introduction.
"Test & Measurement World created the Test of Time award to
complement its Best in Test and Test Engineer of the Year awards,
helping to promote the electronics test industry and recognizing the
people who make it a success," said Rick Nelson, chief editor of Test
& Measurement World. "We are pleased to present the first Test of Time
award to the 93000 SOC Series test system because of its market
success and in honor of the entire Agilent team, which has posted a
five-year record of ongoing technical innovation."
"We are honored to receive this prestigious award from Test &
Measurement World," said Tom Newsom, vice president and general
manager of Agilent's Semiconductor Test Solution business. "Our vision
in the beginning was to create a single, scalable tester-per-pin
platform architecture to accommodate the combined analog and
high-speed-logic test needs of emerging system on chips. We not only
succeeded in that vision, but we have used the 93000 as a springboard
to launch many new, exciting introductions. In fact, the last year has
seen the strongest array of introductions in Agilent's automated test
history."
Recent product launches for the 93000 SOC Series include the
Parallel Probe 400 wafer sort test solution, the BIST Assist 6.4
production test solution for high-speed links, the high-speed I/O test
solution for at-speed functional test up to 3.6 Gb/s and the
Audio/Video 8 analog card for true parallel test at lowest
cost-of-test in production.
About the Agilent 93000 SOC Series
The Agilent 93000 SOC Series is the industry's fastest-growing,
lowest-cost scalable platform architecture with more than 900
installed systems worldwide. The Agilent 93000 SOC Series is designed
to meet both the demanding performance and cost challenges of SOC
testing. Models are configured to span the widest range of
applications that may require ultra-high-speed digital data rates, up
to 10 Gb/s, and the broadest range of mixed-signal and RF
capabilities. With this range of capabilities, the 93000 SOC Series is
the first choice for subcontract manufacturers and the preference for
high-volume manufacturing. More information, including details for
recent introductions, is available at www.agilent.com/see/soctest.
