December 3, 2001

Agilent 93000 SOC Series to Provide NEC Electron Devices with Lowest Cost of Test for Mixed-signal Devices in a Single Scalable Platform

"NEC Electron Devices is at the forefront of advanced technology for broadband and mobile applications," said Tom Newsom, vice president and general manager, Agilent's SOC Business Unit. "We are pleased that they have placed complete confidence in our 93000 SOC test system and engineering support to meet their business needs. We are confident that with the 93000 SOC tester, NEC will be able to provide its customers with the highest quality, lowest cost devices to meet the needs of a demanding consumer market."

The Agilent 93000 SOC Series lowers overall capital equipment investment by providing multi-site test capabilities. It also provides the lowest cost of test available in a single scalable platform. The system's flexibility allows customers to apply the appropriate testing requirements for design, characterization and manufacturing of ICs. In addition, the Agilent 93000 SOC Series provides customers with the flexibility to test a broad range of applications. This results in higher system utilization and reduces the number of test systems required on the manufacturing floor. It also minimizes the number of platforms that require support, thereby lowering cost of ownership.
