Agilent Technologies Expands Engineering Services for Wireless Network Operators Worldwide; Five New Facilities to Help Network Operators Deliver Wireless Voice and Data to Subscribers

CANNES, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 20, 2001--Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A), a leading provider of innovative technologies for communications and life sciences, today announced the opening of five new engineering offices, expanding the company's ability to support wireless network operators delivering next-generation wireless technology to customers. These offices are located worldwide and will provide vital services to network operators faced with increasing pressures to deploy new technologies at a faster pace. The announcement was made here at the 3GSM World Congress conference, Cannes, France, Feb. 20 to 23.

Staffed with experienced RF and network engineers, the offices will provide turnkey network design, complete network optimization and performance analysis, competitive benchmarking, fixed network engineering and a full curriculum of wireless technical training courses. The new offices will open in Geneva, Switzerland; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Washington, D.C.; Richardson, Texas; and Portland, Ore.

This expansion of Agilent facilities reflects the company's commitment to provide complete end-to-end solutions and services to wireless network operators. Agilent's Florida office, which has been providing these services for the past 10 years, has completed competitive benchmarking surveys in over 92 markets worldwide. These surveys give network operators valuable insight into their networks so they can make the best business decisions.
